The new master piece from Mechanical Organic, "Disrepair Part Three - Genesis Of A Germ" has landed. This 25 minute monstrous epic manages to expose the atrocious experimentation and germ warfare that has taken place on the general public throughout recent history. We unveil the trend towards massive population reductions through the spread of deadly man made diseases such as AIDS and Ebola.

Learn the truth about what’s really going on behind the scenes. Join Mechanical Organic to become one of the few who are truly conscious of the end game deception.

We’re extremely excited to announce that our fourth album is now fully recorded and we’re in the final stages of mixing. The new track clocks in at around 25 minutes and it should really surprise quite a few people. Our approach has always been to release music that is a little left of centre while maintaining a real sense of musical melody and I guess this new release follows this trend. The title for the new release will be “Disrepair Part Three - Genesis Of A Germ” and the track title is “Cut Hunter Theory”. The subject matter deals with the deadly man made diseases such as Aides and Ebola, population control, vaccinations and chemical warfare. We’ve used extensive spoken word passages once again to tell the story supported my vocals and lyrics. This song is probably our most musically diverse releases so far and we are really quite proud of the epic nature of the music and the whole conceptual theme.

We are working towards a tentative March 2010 release date.

Hi All

We’ve been getting a whole range of new reviews for our latest release Disrepair Part Two – The Pleasure Fled”, so I thought I’d share a few with you all.  Here’s just a portion of what is being said.  I guess the underlying theme to most of the reviews is the emphasis on our originality and uniqueness, which is fine by me.

“The truth is that the sound of Mechanical Organic continues, even in this new form, to stand to the upper levels of uniqueness.”  Metal Perspective

http://www.metalperspective.com/reviews/mechanicalorganic2.php

“It's so beautiful, complex and diverse and it has such a variety of tunes and themes that time flows without realizing... you just feel compelled to push the play button again.”  Behind The Veil

http://behindtheveil.freehostia.com/october_main.html#MECHANICALORGANIC

“For anyone who wants "something different" they may just find it here in this Progressive, almost Avantgarde metal release. “  Metal Storm

“The Pleasure Fled is indeed a very nice track, and even though it lasts a good 17 minutes and 18 seconds, it leaves you wanting for more! Which is always a clear-cut sight of quality to me! “  Concrete Web

Ed here from Mechanical Organic.  I'm proud to announce the release of Mechanical Organic's third album/EP "Disrepair Part Two – The Pleasure Fled" containing the monstrous 17 minute epic “Into the Fangs of Lunacy”. This one track contains some of our most unique writing and we're very proud of the musical content, vocal themes and lyrics. During the writing process we came to the realization that we have the ability to release music in whatever format, length and quantity we like.  We have decided to concentrate on releasing longer epic style songs rather than your more traditional style album containing ten tracks. "Disrepair Part Two – The Pleasure Fled" is the beginning of this new found philosophy and we hope to release more music in this format within the year of 2009 and beyond. We hope to further the conceptual range of the political/conspiratorial “Disrepair” series with many more such releases.
Our sound on this release is a strange musical blend of Heavy, Electronic, Ambient, Progressive, Political and Conspiratorial elements.
And just to give you a little insight into the current line up –

Eddie Katz – Lead Vocals, Backing Harmonies, Programming and Keyboards – (Ex – Vauxdvihl, Ex – Where Echoes End, Pathway to Perception)

Connie D – Heavy and lead Guitar – (Spasticator)

Evan Harris – Bass, Fretless Bass, Chapman and NS Stick (Ex – Taramis, Eyefear, Black Majesty, Spasticator)

If you have a free minute you can check out the radio edit of the track at our Myspace page www.myspace.com/mechanicalorganic or visit the home of Mechanical Organic at www.mechanicalorganic.com for all the latest news and info.

Thanks guys

Ed

Ok, here’s a nice long update summarising what’s been going on in my personal life as well as the musical world of Mechanical Organic.  Firstly on a personal note, I’ve been swamped with all things family, work related and household chores and projects.  I never thought that having a baby would be this time consuming, my life is completely upside down but in a good way.  The demand on my time is constant and the push and pull of work and family life is an ongoing struggle.  For a while I was wondering whether music and family life could coexist but I’m happy to say that I’ve finally found a balance that is manageable.  It took us some time to find a routine where we each had a bit of space and free time to ourselves and we’ve realised that this is essential to our sanity.  I now have some allocated time where I can do the things that are important to me and my wife has the same.  We still need to rush around and really get stuck into whatever we are doing in order to finish but at least we now have that time.  So all things considered the past year was a very hectic time for us both but we’re really starting to settle into our family life now and I actually love it.

Now on to Mech Org and the music that is being written.  Ok firstly I’d like to mention that Conrad is back and working on a new tune I wrote called “Into the Fangs of Lunacy” which is a 17 minute monster examining the online truth movement and the infiltration of carnival barkers who spread disinformation.  Conrad is working on the guitar parts and bass lines as I type this news update.  The song will be released as a kind of mini album and will be titled “The Pleasure Fled”. In fact, I’ve decided to write much larger more expansive tunes and release them digitally as they are completed.  Using this method we hope to release a steady stream up music rather than wait two or three years for a full length album.  Being a completely independent band/artist we are able to go with the flow and do whatever we want.  And at the moment releasing long, expansive multilayered music is where we’re at.  Artwork for the new album is already complete, in fact the artwork for the next two releases is complete.

While Conrad has been working on the guitar parts for the new album I’ve been toiling away at another song that clocks in at around 25 minutes.  This song is nearing completion with all vocal melodies, lyrics and music being recoded and polished in the studio at the moment.  I have a working title but I’m keeping it under my hat for the time being.

I’m also working on digital distribution for Mechanical Organic through itunes, amazon, napster, rhapsody, e-music and host of others.

So I’m please to say that things are rolling along nicely at camp Mech Org.  So keep an eye out for new music from Mechanical Organic in the very near future.

More news soon.

Cheers

Ed

It has been a very hectic past couple of months. I’ve been working on the new Mech Org album, the new Pathway to Perception album, the new Mech Org video clip, I’m also working on my new recording booth/rehearsal room and to top it all off my wife and I had our first baby son, born December 2nd.
Our baby, James, is doing well, he’s a bundle of energy and I love the way he has changed my life for the better. I can’t even imagine how my life would be without him. Need less to say he consumes a fare bit of my time and I happy with that arrangement. He’s just beginning to laugh and smile which make me laugh and smile also.
The new Pathway to Perception CD “Crystal Cave” has finally been released and we’re really forging ahead with a whole range of different products and ideas. It’s a very exciting time for Pathway to Perception which will definitely be keeping me very busy well into the future.
The new Mechanical Organic album is complete and ready for release. I’ve been holding the release back due to all the other things that have been happening in my life. I’ve really been swamped and I guess it’s the release of the new Mech Org album that has suffered. The album sounds great and I can’t wait to get it out there but there are only so many hours in the day. I’ve been slowly putting together all the different bits and pieces for the release so I’m pretty much ready to launch, I’m looking at a later February release for the album.
The brand new Mechanical Organic video clip is now up on Youtube and Dailymotion. The song title is “Mechanical Dreams” and it was taken from the soon to be releases new album “Disrepair Part One – Permafrost Dreams”. To view the clip just check out the last post here at Live Journal, the player is embedded in the post so just click play.
I’ve also been very busy building my new recording space. I have just finished digging a flat spot underneath my studio for a recording booth/rehearsal space. It quite compact but it should be perfect for what I need. I start putting in the floor next weekend.
So I guess that’s it. I’m really desperate to get the new Mech Org album – Disrepair Part One – Permafrost Dreams out there. I’ve had it ready to ship for a couple of months and it’s been killing me having it just sit there, UNTIL NOW!

Video Clip - The new Mechanical Organic video clip is now finished, the songs is taken from the new album “Disrepair Part One – Permafrost Dreams” and is title “Mechanical Dreams”. I’ve been working on the clip on and off for a number of months and I finally found the time to hammer it into shape last weekend.  I’m really please with it’s content and the way it turn out.  It’s kind of dark and industrial looking which suits the subject matter perfectly.  I will be uploading the clip very soon so keep an eye out for it on various hosting sites.  I will also upload the clip to the Mech Org website as well.  More details soon.

Album Release Date – The new Mech Org album “Disrepair Part One – Permafrost Dreams” is ready for release.  I’m hoping to officially release the album later this month.  It was actually ready to ship late last year but I held it back due to the Christmas period, I didn’t think it was the best time to release music.  I also was struggling for time due to the latest release from Pathway to Perception.  We just put out our latest CD and that look some time and effort to put together.  So it’s been a very hectic couple of months but everything is finally settling down.  And then there were three.

Baby News – To make things even more hectic and confusing my wife and I have just had our first baby boy.  His name is James and he was born 2nd December, so he’s already 2 months old. He’s a bundle of energy, he’s full of beans and he’s demanding quite a lot of our time at the moment, so it’s been extra difficult finding the time to work on music and business issues.  Whenever I have a free moment or whenever James is sleeping I sink my teeth into my music or something music related.  I never ever thought that having a baby would change my life so drastically but it has, and it’s all positive.

I’m still scraping together all the different elements for the release of the new album. The promo CD’s have been manufactured. I’m currently working on getting quotes for the printing of the DVD covers. The cover art is fully designed and looks great. The promo press kit/bio is also complete and set for printing so it’s just a matter of time before everything is ready to roll.
As soon as the Promo CD is ready to ship I will be uploading the new Mech Org website. It is still a little early to predict an official release date for the new album but I’m working towards a late November release. I need to do a lot of work to finalise everything but most of the release elements are now falling into place.
I really can’t wait to get this thing out. I gave the whole album another listen and overall I’m very happy with the way it turned out. There are always a few things I whish I could fix, a few little bass guitar melodies got slightly buries after mastering which I would have liked to be more up front in the mix. Other than those slight discrepancies I personally think it turned out great. I still really enjoy listening to the album as a whole which is weird. Generally once an album is finished I can’t stand hearing what I’ve been obsessing over for a year or so. Normally I’m completely over the songs but this time I quite enjoy listening to the end product. There are still moments where I worry about how the album will be received. But I guess I have to accept that that part of the process is out of my hands. I left no stone unturned on this release, every avenue was explored. You really can’t do more than that. But at the end of the day it is still a trippy listen and one that may not impress some reviewers. Not everyone is going to get this CD but hopefully most will recognise its originality and uniqueness and give it a reasonable review.
